Nathan Bedford Forrest, the "Wizard of the Saddle"

Nathan Bedford Forrest, the “Wizard of the Saddle.” He was the scourge of the Yankees and a gifted tactician. He was also a racist brute who assumed leadership of the Pulaski KKK. He is part of the Nickajack’s lore, for better or worse as far as a story goes, and more shall be said of him.
